毎月の行事を本にしよう

Nancy　Ray先生[Mississippi]とAmy　Lutterloh先生[Memphis, TN]から ジョイント　プロジェクトのお誘いが来ています。

一年間の毎月の行事を説明文と写真やイラストでまとめ
本（手作り）にして、パートナーと交換し交流をしようとするプロジェクトです。

今回は、Nancy先生とJami先生の２つのクラスが、それぞれ本を作り送りますので交換・交流ができる日本の小学校5年生のクラスを探してくださいというリクエストです。

まもなくiEARN　Projectにすると書いてありますが、
交流で面白いのは、できれば次を使いたいと書いてある点です：

例えば、BOOOOO Global WarmingやGuess the Movieを見てみました。
子どもの感想が本人の写真や声とともに載っています。（承認がないのはイラストや文字で）。　iEARN　Collaboration Centerとはまた、一味違った交流の場のようです。使い方は、Nancy先生に訊いてみようと思います。

5年生だけでなく、6年生もOKではないかと思いますが

Dear Yoko,

Nancy Ray, gifted & talented teacher [Mississippi], and I would like to do a joint project on iearn with a Japanese elementary teacher teaching grade 5. The project we have developed would include Language Arts[English/reading] and Visual Arts. Briefly, the project would require students to create a book of days that will represent an entire year. Each month would be a chapter in the student book. The month would include a visual art representation and written description of an important
event.,
i.e., in the USA we celebrate Martin Luther King day on January 19 [this date changes each year,
but is always the second Monday in January].
Martin Luther King is an important leader of the Civil Rights Movement in the United States, and is remembered each year in January. Our students
would write a description of this national holiday and either draw an illustration, or include a
photograph taken by the student for this entry.
Each book would contain one entry for each month [12] of the year.

We would like to engage a Japanese class that would do the same. The program would include:

Two classes (teachers Nancy Ray and Jami Hooper) would create books to
exchange with the Japanese class.
Students will create on-line pen pals, if possible.
The project will be placed on iearn
Use of the on-line program, VoiceThreads.com
