Last month I took part in "Oxbridge English Camp" as a staff.
Mr.UEDA had introduced it to me.
This camp is by an NPO "JEARN"( http://www.jearn.jp/japan/index.html ) and for students (from elementary school to high school). For this camp three students from U.K. are invited as instructors. As the word "Oxbridge" shows, they belong to Oxford and Cambridge -ones of the greatest Universities in the world.-
This summer, they visit Japan in order to join the seminars or cultural exchange events like this camp.
I had a good time.
We caught fish, played games, cooked curry , danced, enjoyed in camp fire, sang songs , and worked hard for the students' presentations.
I was very glad because the three instructors- Phil , Liz , and Del- and the children were very friendly.
In the camp each children made their own presentation about hobby ,experience , family and so on. They were very enthusiastic! And so were the instructors. Students were practicing for the presentation very much.
Their efforts made their presentation very impressive and interesting(Some contents were very good). I especially got impressed when the children whom I advised made it.
Thanks to them, I also got more enthusiastic for studying English.
And I appreciate three instructors. They were brilliant. Their skill of instruction were very good ,and their nice smile made us happy.
This camp is my precious memory of this summer.
I hope the children keep enjoying to learn Englih. And I want to see the participants again!
