そういえば、28日の晩には神戸で最大震度３の地震があったそうですが、
僕たちの宿泊先の新神戸ではあまり揺れなかったのか気付きませんでした。

ただ、地震はいつ起こるか本当にわからないと、改めて身につまされました。
なのでホテルの非常口の表示については朝食の際に説明をしておきました。

そんなこんなで29日は彼らがプレゼンテーションをする、
防災世界子ども会議(NDYS)の神戸フォーラムの会場に送ってきました。

25日にも会場である人と防災未来センターを訪れて、その時も西館・東館を最初間違えて入ってしまったのですが、
その日もまた同じ間違いをしてしまって、彼らに笑われてしまいました。

ということもありつつ、無事会場に彼らを連れてきて、
本日のフォーラムのコーディネーター、岡本さん・納谷さんに引き合わせることもできました。

会場の綺麗さと設備の立派さには大変びっくりしました。
台湾やロシアともテレビ会議のシステムで繫がっているそうです。
また、ボードには防災マップも掛けられていて興味深かったです。

彼らは到着してから、
熱心にプレゼンの準備に取り組んでいました。
きっと彼らは韓国でもよく出来る生徒なのだという気がしました。

ご飯を食べた後は
翌日の第２回ひょうご子どもサミットの仕度もあったので、
見ていきたいという思いもあったのですが、HAT神戸を後にしました。

とはいうものの、僕は彼らのプレゼンをちゃんと見ることができました。
なぜか？
Ustreamのおかげです。
インターネットを介して会場の様子が中継されていたので、
準備の傍ら僕はJEARNのオフィスでそれを見ることが出来たのです。

自己紹介もプレゼンも堂々としていて、すごいなぁと思いました。

NDYSが終わった後、HATから海外移住と文化の交流センターに彼らがやってきました。
ささやかではありますが彼らのためにウェルカムパーティを開いたのです。
JEARNのスタッフの他、明日のひょうご子どもサミットに協力してくださる神戸大学の学生団体「ぼらばん」のメンバーの方２名、日本語講座の受講生の方１名も参加してくださいました。

すし、刺身、お好み焼き、たこ焼きを囲み、楽しくお話が出来たと思います。
食事の後はちょっと時間をお借りして、明日の子どもたちへの韓国紹介のプレゼンを考えてもらいました。

彼らも非常にこのサミットに協力的で、とてもありがたく感じました。

”NDYS Forum 2011 in Kobe”

The day before, small earthquake had happend around 23.
I was in Shinkobe, but I didn't feel any quake at all.

I realized earthquake will happen again.
And in the morning I explained to them the green indication of exit in case.

This day, I took them to the DRI, the place for the NDYS forum.
(Natural Disaster Youth Summit)

As I wrote before, we had visited there on the 1st day.
At that time I'd lead them to Eastern building by mistake.
Again I err. That made them laughed at me. :-(

Anyway, I took them to the conference room,
and introduced them to the coordinator, Ms. Okamoto and Ms. Naya.

It was surprising for me that the room was very nice and that equipment are also well.
The place was connected with Taiwan and Russia thanks to the system of television conference.
I was also interested in the poster session.The maps shows where is dangerous in disaser.

The 5 students were preparing the presentation in the afternoon.
They seemed enthusiastic. I thought they must be good students.

After the lunch, I had something to prepare for th Youth Summit the next day.
I must leave there.

But I could watch their presentation,
Do you know why?

That's thanks to Ustream.
The forum is broadcasted through Ustream.
And that enabled me to watch in the office of JEARN.

They didn't look nervous. And presentation was good.
Good preparation made good presentation. Well done!

After the Forum, they came to Kobe Center for Oversea Migration and Cultural Interactiohn.
JEARN office is in it. A party was held for them.
The participants were JEARN staffs, of course, two students of volunteer group of Kobe University, and American woman(These three are the volunteer member for the Youth Summit).

We had Sushi, Osashimi, Okonomiyaki, Takoyaki, and so on. We enjoyed chatting.
After the dinner we had Korean students think about presentation of Korea for children.

They were very kind to help us for the Hyogo Youth Summit.
